Salem Community Gardens invites Salem residents to a meeting Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at First Church, 316 Essex Street Salem MA 01970.

Salem Community Gardens is a group of Salem residents working with the City of Salem to start an organic community garden in one of the city’s parks. The ultimate goal of the project is to have community gardens throughout the city.

The group proposes to have 10 x 10 plots for individuals or families. Salem Community Gardens will be working with local farmers on high yield growth strategies for small plots.

Interested Salem residents are invited to attend the meeting or contact the S.A.F.E (Salem Alliance For the Environment) website www.salemsafe.org to express their interest.
