Salem Alliance for the Environment (SAFE) is a group dedicated to addressing environmental issues through education, advocacy, and community organizing. Our goal is to assure that Salem is a healthy and prosperous place in which to live. To learn more about us, please explore this website or join us for our monthly meeting at the First Church on Essex Street.

Our next meeting is To be announced.

June 14, 2008:  Salem's Living Green & Renewable Energy Fair

SAFE is proud to be a sponsor of this event - please stop by our table and visit us at the fair!

Choose Clean Energy- Support Renewable Energy- Reduce your Carbon Footprint

June 14th will also be declared Clean Energy Day in Salem- all residents and businesses are encouraged to support the Clean Energy Choice program.

SAFE is actively supporting energy efficiency and support for clean energy choices- please see our current campaigns & "Act Now".

SAFE, along with the City of Salem's Renewable Energy Task Force is promoting residents and businesses to purchase Renewable Energy.  We are working towards a bonus solar array (we need 130 new signups by June 30, 2008!)- help us meet this goal so we can see more renewable energy here in Salem!

We understand that money is tight- so first take some simple steps that will save you money, then invest that savings in renewable energy- that will take the "pain" out of your wallet while also providing double the benefit when it comes to energy and greenhouse gas contribution.

SAVE $$$:  Take SAFE's Energy Conservation Pledge
