Sustainable Career Pathways at Salem High

Opportunities for current students and adults

Alongside our partners the League of Women Voters and the Latino Leadership Coalition, SAFE produced an English and Spanish program on Salem Access TV all about the Green Jobs Pathways though the Career and Technical Initiative program being run out of Salem High School.

Tune in below to hear more from John St. Onge, a career development coordinator who does outreach and helps people get introduced to the programs offered at Salem High, as well as Gabriel Yeager who is the grants manager for the Career Technical Initiative at Salem High School, and teaches computer science during the day.

The two evening programs for adults are Building and Property Maintenance with a focus on sustainability and green architecture, and Automotive and Marine Science which touches on sea vessels and welding.

These after school hour programs are for adults with a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Salem residents who want to explore careers that can provide meaningful, livable wages and support their communities.
